Breathing For High Performance Professionals with Nikki Pepper

February 27, 20241 min read

“Start small; two minutes of Breathwork is better than none” - Nikki Pepper

Nikki Pepper is a performance coach with over 15 years of experience in the health & wellness industry. Nikki works with C-suite executives, founders, and other busy professionals to help transform their habits through consistent routines such as Breathwork, workouts, and meditation.

You can find her on Instagram @salt.n.peppah or download her app, L.Y.F.E with Nikki, for on-the-go workout resources.

In our podcast today, Nikki Pepper and I discuss how Breathwork is the perfect modality for anyone who claims they are too busy to set aside time for their mental and physical wellness.

I encourage you to listen to the podcast; here are my biggest takeaways:

1. Breathwork: Still in its Infancy

With more than 15 years in the performance athletics space, Nikki only began hearing about and integrating Breathwork into her morning routine last year. It now is the first thing she does each morning, before her mind starts racing with thoughts. This echoes something I repeat at all my sessions, which is that Breathwork is not just a fad, it's here to stay.

2. Save Time With Breathwork

Unlike most wellness techniques that require you to leave your home or purchase equipment, Breathwork is accessible anytime, anywhere, even from the comfort of your desk.

3. Doubling Down on Daily Practices

This is something I've heard from Andrew Huberman as well; once you develop a daily habit and you look back on, say, one consecutive month of morning Breathwork or journaling, those successive wins give you confidence as you've proven to yourself you can stay disciplined/consistent.
